Three natives of Dagestan arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting terrorists

The court has pronounced the pre-trial restriction measure in the form of detention in custody against four persons, including three natives of Dagestan, who were detained in the Vologda Region on suspicion of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF), promoting terrorism, and illicit trafficking in arms and explosive devices.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 1, in the Vologda Region, law enforcers detained four persons, including three natives of Dagestan. According to the law enforcers, they seized from the detainees explosive devices, hand grenades, a machine gun, and ammunition. On July 4, it became known that criminal cases were instituted against the detainees for involvement in an IAF, promoting terrorism, and illicit trafficking in arms, ammunition, and explosive devices.

The court has pronounced against the four suspects the pre-trial restriction measure in the form of detention in custody, the "Interfax" reports today with reference to the press service of the FSB Department for the Vologda Region.

According to the FSB preliminary information, the suspects are entrepreneurs, who transferred to Syria the money received from the sale of timber, the "TASS" reports.
