Residents of Volgograd ask Vladimir Putin to protect them from eviction

In Volgograd, the works on demolition of an apartment building have been started, despite the fact that it is the only shelter for many residents. This was stated by tenants of the house in the petition addressed to Vladimir Putin and City Mayor Andrei Kosolapov. During less than one day, the petition gained 117 signatures.

Today, Irina Krivina, a resident of Volgograd, has posted a petition on the website Change.org. In the petition, the woman on behalf of the tenants of the house asks to save from demolition the apartment building No. 10 in Klubny Lane in the Kirov District of Volgograd.

According to the petition, on June 27, the court marshals came to the house and demanded from the tenants to start moving out of the building. Then they started to "dismantle the house brick by brick."

Irina Krivina emphasizes that the tenants appealed to the reception of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party, but received no assistance.

The three-storey house was built on a land plot as a private building, and the District Court recognized the building as illegally constructed, reports the website of the Department for the Volgograd Region of the Court Marshal Service.

"Despite the requirements of the court marshal and the repeated cases of bringing of the debtor to administrative responsibility, the court decision on the demolition of the building was not fulfilled for a long time. In connection with the above fact, the court marshal-executor made a decision on enforcement of the requirements," reports the message.
