The Basmanny Court of Moscow has arrested the property of the "Domodedovo" Airport in the criminal case against the airport top-managers, involved as defendants in the case on the terror act of 2011. This has been reported today by Igor Trunov, an advocate of the victims.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dmitri Kamenschik, a co-owner of the "Domodedovo" Airport, Vyacheslav Nekrasov, the former director of the "Domodedovo" Airport, Andrei Danilov, the chief of the aviation security service, and top manager Svetlana Trishina are accused of the poor organization of screening of visitors to the "Domodedovo" Airport, which failed to prevent the terror act in the "Domodedovo" Airport on January 24, 2011.
The advocate of the victims has reported that the Basmanny Court of Moscow has arrested the property of the "Domodedovo" Airport amounting to one billion roubles.
According to the advocate, the victims are going to challenge the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow at the Moscow City Court. "We are against such a decision, especially since the victims withdrew their claims against the top-managers of the airport... We will appeal against it," states Igor Trunov as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
The people affected by the terror act have claimed multi-million-rouble civil lawsuits against the "Domodedovo" Airport. Meanwhile, according to their advocate, upon receipt of compensation, the victims are willing to settle the claims by amicable agreement. On May 17, the "Aviation" Charitable Foundation was established at the "Domodedovo" Airport to help the people affected by the terror act. Today, it has become known that the "Aviation" Charitable Foundation transferred funds in favour of 103 victims, and all 64 claims, filed by the victims against the "Domodedovo" Airport, have been recalled.
