Death toll of special operations in Southern Dagestan reaches 15
One of the five power agents wounded in special operations in Dagestan has died in hospital. Earlier, 14 casualties were reported: four power agents and 10 suspected militants.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 16-17 power agents conducted special operations near the village of Kasumkent, Suleiman-Stalsky District of Dagestan, near the village of Gedjukh, Derbent District, and in the woodland of the Tabasaran District. As a result, 10 suspected militants, one FSB officer and three employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were killed. Other five servicemen of Special Forces were wounded.
One serviceman of Special Forces dies at hospital in the evening on June 17, the RIA "Novosti" writes, citing a law enforcement source of Dagestan.
There is no threat to life of other hospitalized power agents, the "Interfax" reports.
