Sergey Zirinov denies version of his interest in sanatorium "Little Bay"
Sergey Zirinov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban, has told the court about his acquaintance with Vitaly Sadovnichy, the director of the Anapa sanatorium "Little Bay". Sergey Zirinov states he is not involved in the Vitaly Sadovnichy's murder, since he has never been interested in the sanatorium.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since August 2015, the criminal case against Sergey Zirinov is being considered at the North-Caucasian District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don. During the interrogation on June 16, Sergey Zirinov spoke about his relationship with each of the defendants in the case. According to him, he maintained friendly relations with only one of the defendants. Besides, Sergey Zirinov also claims being not involved in the organization of a criminal grouping.
Today, Sergey Zirinov has claimed at the trial that he was not involved in the murder of Vitaly Sadovnichy and his wife Olga Ivankina.
Vitaly Sadovnichy and his common-law wife Olga Ivankina disappeared in summer 2002. Their bodies were found only in 2013. According to investigators, Sergey Zirinov ordered the murder of Vitaly Sadovnichy. On December 2, 2015, the former chief of the Anapa UVD (Interior Department) reported that the director of the sanatorium "Little Bay" complained about receiving threats from Sergey Zirinov; however, that had not been confirmed by the investigation.
