Ramadan tents set up in Ingushetia
For the time of the holy month of Ramadan, the authorities of the cities of Nazran and Magas have installed tents, in which the believers, who observe the fasting, may de-fast in the evening.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 6 Muslims of most regions of Southern Russia began their Ramadan fasting.
"The tents may house 50-60 people in Magas, and 30 in Nazran," Ibragim, an activist of the Cultural and Educational Centre (CEC) "Ezdel", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, the organization of Iftars will be assisted by Ingush NGOs. "The CEC 'Ezdel' and the Charity Fund 'Tesham' are holding one Iftar per week each. The 'Tesham' has also held a charity fair; and its volunteers are giving out, every evening after the end of the fasting, dates and water in republic's roads," he said.
