Court leaves Dmitry Kamenschik under house arrest

The Moscow City Court has upheld the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow to extend until July 28 the house arrest of Dmitry Kamenschik, a defendant in the criminal case on the terror act at the "Domodedovo" Airport.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 14, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the house arrest of Dmitry Kamenschik until July 28. Today, at the session of the Moscow City Court, victims asked to release Dmitry Kamenschik from house arrest. Investigator spoke against the cancellation of the Dmitry Kamenschik's arrest, since the investigators did not receive any notification on payment of compensation and recall of claims filed by the victims.

On May 10, advocate Igor Trunov reported that 40 victims filed multimillion-rouble claims against the "Domodedovo" Airport. On May 17, it became known that a foundation for help to victims was established at the "Domodedovo" Airport. The agreement on compensation was signed on the same day.

Earlier, Dmitry Kamenschik has denied the guilt of any of the employees of the "Domodedovo" Airport in connection with the terror act. The General Prosecutor's Office insists that the detention and house arrest of Dmitry Kamenschik were pronounced unlawfully.
