Eyewitnesses report on attempt to kidnap Ramazan Djalaldinov

On May 15, at the exit of a mosque in the Tsumada District of Dagestan, unidentified people attempted to kidnap Ramazan Djalaldinov, a resident of the Chechen village of Kenkhi, who had filed a complaint to the Russian President. This was reported by eyewitnesses.

At night on May 12, the house of the Ramazan Djalaldinov's family was burned down, and his wife and children were forced to go to Dagestan, where Ramazan Djalaldinov himself found a shelter.

According to eyewitnesses, "unidentified persons attempted to kidnap Ramazan Djalaldinov to send him to Chechnya." The kidnapping was prevented by mosque-goers, who repelled an attack on Ramazan Djalaldinov, the "Moskovsky Komsomolets" reports.

Ramazan Djalaldinov himself has claimed that "the attempt of kidnapping was made by the order of Sagid Murtazaliev, the former head of the Dagestani Pension Fund."

Meanwhile, today, at the Dagestani Government building, Ramazan Djalaldinov met Ramazan Jafarov, Deputy Chairman of the Dagestani Government. Several residents of the village of Kenkhi feared for safety of Ramazan Djalaldinov and came to support him, the "Chernivik" (Draft) reports.

On May 17, it became known that the authorities of Dagestan decided to help the family of Ramazan Djalaldinov. On May 14, a delegation from Dagestan visited the village of Kenkhi on behalf of Ramazan Abdulatipov and found no violations of the rights of local residents, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by an agent of the Dagestani leaders.
