Two suspects of killing Kaziakhmedov captured by video

A video record has been promulgated that shows two armed men suspected of killing Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov, the father of the former Mayor of Derbent Felix Kaziakhmedov. The fact that they held pistols with silencers in their hands indicates that they were hardly ordinary robbers, said one of the friends of the casualty’s family.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on 9 May in Derbent the body of the 82-year-old Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov with gunshot wounds was found. Investigators have announced an attempted robbery as the basic version of the murder investigation; then a version appeared that it could be an extremists’ revenge.

The version that Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov was killed by robbers looks strange, a family friend told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on condition of anonymity.

"It is clear from the posted video of the commission of the crime that the criminals were armed with pistols with silencers. This is not typical for robbers; therefore, it is possible that there were other motives,” said the source.

The 15-second video record from a surveillance camera was posted on May 9. It shows two masked men running through the garden. Both hold pistols with very long barrels in front of them.
