"Life": Chechen law enforcers take pregnant wife of Shamil Djanaraliev for questioning

Relatives of Shamil Djanaraliev, who blew himself up at a checkpoint in Grozny on May 9, reported on a search of his house. Law enforcers have also taken away for questioning brothers and a pregnant wife of the suspected suicide bomber, the "Life.ru" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, two armed men attacked the checkpoint in Grozny. One of them blew himself up; the other was killed by policemen. The Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported about six wounded policemen. Men who attacked the checkpoint were identified as 27-year-old Shamil Djanaraliev and 25-year-old Akhmed Inalov.

According to an aunt of Shamil Djanaraliev and a wife of his brother, several years ago, the young man visited his female relative in Germany, and then he was suspected of an attempt to travel to the territory of Syria.

Besides, the Shamil Djanaraliev's relatives have also reported that his brothers and pregnant wife were taken away by law enforcers for questioning on May 9, the "Life.ru" reports.

According to acting Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, 1.5 years ago, the law enforcement agencies and the Grozny Mayor's Office "made a lot of effort to return Shamil Djanaraliev who was travelling to Syria."

"His family members claimed that he had realized everything and chosen the right path," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote today on his "Instagram" page. The acting Chechen leader has also noted that now, the law enforcement agencies of Chechnya "are not going to listen to such talks" and that "the relevant units of the MIA and other public agencies will carry out necessary raids and other preventive measures."
