Investigators exclude Vera Savchenko from federal wanted list
The Investigating Department for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has cancelled the resolution to put Vera Savchenko on the wanted list in the case of insulting a judge. This was reported by advocate Ilya Novikov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 27, at the Russian-Ukrainian border, there was an attempt to detain Vera Savchenko, a sister of Nadezhda Savchenko, a sentenced Ukrainian aviator. After the incident, the woman left the checkpoint and went to Rostov-on-Don. On April 28, the law enforcement authorities allowed Vera Savchenko to leave Russia. According to Dmitry Kuleba, Permanent Representative of Ukraine in the Council of Europe (CE), Vera Savchenko was put on the wanted list in Russia for insulting a judge in Chechnya.
According to advocate Ilya Novikov, the resolution on the exclusion of Vera Savchenko form the wanted list was issued by an investigator from the ICRF's Investigating Department for Chechnya.
Let us remind you that on March 22, Nadezhda Savchenko, a sister of Vera Savchenko, was sentenced in Russia to 22 years of imprisonment on the charges of involvement in the killings of Russian journalists in Donbas and illegal border crossing.
