Sochi: organizers of "Formula 1" state high spectators' interest

Almost all the tickets are sold out for the race "Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix", which was opened in Sochi on April 29, the organizers report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the "Grand Prix Russia" in Sochi is held from April 29 to May 1.

They are going to announce the exact number of sold tickets after the end of the race.

"The totals will be announced after the race: there is a free placement area, where there is no limited number of tickets; therefore, it's too early to talk about it," the "RBC-South" quotes Sergey Vorobyov, the promoter of the "Grand Prix Russia".

On April 29, the race in Sochi opened with the free practice; today, the qualifying races will take place; on May 1, the Russian race itself of "Formula 1" will be held, the "RBC-South" writes.

As of April 29, according to organizers, just a few hundreds of tickets were left at the box offices, which is a very good result, the "Sport-Express" reports.

The TASS specifies that the total number of tickets was 55,000; 85% of them were sold out by April 14.
