NKR's flag banned at "Eurovision"
The spectators of the "Eurovision-2016" concerts were not allowed to bring into the hall flags of a number of partially recognized and unrecognized states, including the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).
The Song Contest "Eurovision-2016" will be held in Stockholm on May 10-14.
The spectators will not be allowed to bring with them the flag of Palestine, NKR, Kosovo, Transdniestria, the Basque Country, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and the "Islamic State" and the Majlis of the Crimean Tatars, banned in Russia. The flag of the Republic of Crimea is also banned. Only the flags of the participating countries are allowed.
"We strongly urge the international community to respect the non-political nature of the 'Eurovision'," reports the website of the concert hall "Stockholm Globe Arena".
The Armenian delegation at the "Eurovision-2016" will take the Karabakh flag with them, said the head of the delegation Gohar Gasparyan. According to her story, it is a pity that the list was published. "Organizers want to avoid problems," she said.
