Vera Savchenko sheltered by Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don
In the evening of April 27, at the Russian-Ukrainian border, there was an attempt to detain Vera Savchenko, and FSB agents seized her passport. After the incident, the woman left the checkpoint in a car with diplomatic state licence plates and went to Rostov-on-Don.
This morning, Dmitry Kuleba, Permanent Representative of Ukraine in the Council of Europe (CE), has reported that the sister of Nadezhda Savchenko, a Ukrainian aviator, sentenced in Russia, is sheltered by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don.
According to Dmitry Kuleba, Vera Savchenko has received her passport back, but she is put on the wanted list in Russia for insulting a judge in Chechnya.
Vera Savchenko herself treats the attempt to detain her at the border as pressure on her sister.
