Nemtsov's daughter asks to reopen inquiry into her father's murder
Zhanna, the daughter of Boris Nemtsov, has addressed the investigating authorities asking them to resume the inquiry into the murder of the politician and to issue formal charges to law enforcement officer Ruslan Geremeev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the oppositional politician Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015, in Moscow. Within his murder case, according to official data, five natives from Chechnya and Ingushetia were arrested; they have already seen their final charge. The figurants in the case are also two officers of the Chechen battalion "Sever" (North): Ruslan Mukhudinov, who is considered to be the customer of the murder and already announced wanted; and Ruslan Geremeev.
According to the advocate Vadim Prokhorov, the defence believes that the procedure of running the investigation was violated in the case of Boris Nemtsov's murder.
"As a rule, after the commission of a crime, the main criminal case is initiated, from which, if necessary, criminal cases against perpetrators of the crime are isolated, while the main inquiry continues. In the Nemtsov's murder case, investigators acted in the opposite way: they isolated the case against the customers of the murder into a separate proceeding and go on with the inquiry, but stopped the main case," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Mr Prokhorov as saying.
According to his version, the above formal violation is aimed at creating the illusion of solving the case, which, in fact, has not been solved yet.
