Investigators find explosives in passenger of Yerevan bus

Searches were conducted in the houses of all the passengers of the Yerevan bus, in which the explosion occurred; and in the apartment of one of them explosives were found, a source from the Investigating Committee of Armenia told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that an explosion inside a bus in Alabyan Street occurred on April 25. According to the police, an explosive device was activated inside the bus, and the very moment of the explosion was recorded by surveillance cameras. Two persons were killed as a result of the explosion, eight more were injured.

According to the story of the representative of the Investigating Committee, the examination confirmed the presence of traces of TNT (trotyl) also on the items taken away from the blasted bus.

Houses and apartments of other passengers and the driver were searched, but no suspicious objects were found there; therefore, investigators do not suspect them of involvement in the explosion, said the source.

According to the Investigating Committee, all the persons who were in the bus have been identified, except for the second casualty. His body was severely damaged; so, a DNA examination was appointed.

Besides, a SIM-card was found in the bus, belonging to an earlier twice convicted citizen of the country. Investigators suggest that it could belong to the second casualty, said the source, adding that all the records from the video cameras installed along the route of the bus are now being studied.
