Yerevan: all detained protesters released
The Armenian police have released all the 42 persons detained during a protest in central Yerevan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 22 the capital of Armenia hosted a march "We are close to our soldier", dedicated to the warfare in Nagorno-Karabakh. Prior to start of the march, the police warned that it had not been sanctioned by the authorities; and then dispersed the action. According to the police, 42 persons were detained, who failed to obey the policemen's lawful demands. Journalists were among the detainees, whose equipment, according to the editor-in-chief of the news agency "1in.am", was broken.
A police source says that all the detainees are back at large, adding that they were subjected to administrative detention and taken to different police stations.
