Armenian police report on 42 detained protesters

42 people, detained during a protest march in the centre of Yerevan, have failed to obey to the legal demand of law enforcers. This was reported by a police official.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Yerevan, activists have organized the march "We are next to our soldiers," dedicated to the military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh. Prior to the start of the march, the police warned the activists that the event was not sanctioned by the authorities and eventually dispersed the action. The number of detainees included journalists.

In total, 42 people were detained in Mashtots and Bagramyan Avenues, and all of them are being kept at the police station, reports a police official.

Two of the detained journalists work for the news agency "1in.am", reports its editor-in-chief Arman Babadjanyan. According to him, the policemen prevented journalists from performing their professional duties.

Law enforcers broke a video camera and a mobile phone, which provided direct broadcasting of the protest action to Facebook, states Arman Babadjanyan. He has demanded from the police to bring the explanations.
