Resident of Grozny accused of armed support of Syrian militants
In Chechnya, investigators have filed an indictment against a resident of Grozny, who stayed in the ranks of the Islamists in Syria during 11 months.
According to investigators, in February 2015, Rustam Tovsultanov left for Syria to take part in combat actions on the side of the Islamists. He also took his wife and his minor children together with him to Syria.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Investigating Department for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) that Rustam Tovsultanov left for Syria to follow the example of his older brother, who left "for jihad" one year earlier.
