Residents of Alagir again complain about dirty tap water
In North Ossetia, residents of the Alagir District fear of a repetition of the last year's poisoning, since for the second day, muddy water flows of the taps in their houses.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of June 9, 2015, in Alagir, a mass poisoning with drinking water occurred. According to experts, the mass poisoning was caused by an infection which got in the water. As of June 18, 1092 people appealed for medical aid.
Vyacheslav Bitarov, the acting leader of North Ossetia, has said that he learned about the situation from social networks "and not from the administration and leaders of the Alagir District or from the Ministry for Housing and Utilities," and he was "extremely indignant about that." For that fact, Igor Shatalov, Acting Minister for Housing, Fuels and Energy, was reprimanded by Vyacheslav Bitarov.
According to Igor Shatalov, in the past year, a water supply point was a source of pollution, and this year, the water pollution occurred because of the heavy rains that fell on the water supply points of the Gusarinsky water line. At present, the laboratory of the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights) is working at the water supply point, reports the Acting Minister.
"As of today, the laboratory tests show no abnormalities," Igor Shatalov has added.
According to him, it is necessary to carry out cleaning and disinfection of the source of water supply, and it will take about two days.
