MIA confirms detention of two persons suspected of killing Dagestani preacher
The police have detained two persons suspected of setting fire on a car in the city of Nizhnevartovsk, in which law enforcers found fragments of human bodies on April 4. This was reported by the press service of the Department for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening of April 4, Vagif Nurbaev, a Salafi preacher, was blown up in his own car near the village of Kazachya Sloboda not far from the city of Nizhnevartovsk, as reported by a source close to Vagif Nurbaev. According to family members of Vagif Nurbaev, he was killed and his body was set on fire. Investigators report that one more man was killed together with Vagif Nurbaev.
Two suspects are detained in the criminal case on the deaths of people whose bodies were found in a burnt-down car not far from Nizhnevartovsk. This was reported by the spokesperson of the press service of the MIA's Chief Department for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.
It should be noted that on April 11, the press service of the regional MIA's department also reported the detention of persons suspected of setting fire on a car in the vicinity of the village of Kazachya Sloboda. However, MIA's officials refused to mention even the number of detainees.
The investigation into the criminal case involves the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and the MIA. Policemen are engaged in revealing the involvement of the detainees in the delivery of explosives and weapons to Nizhnevartovsk, as well as in the manufacture of a bomb activated inside the car, while staff members of the ICRF are trying to identify the persons involved in the murder, the "Znak.com" reports.
