Parties to Karabakh conflict accuse each other of shelling
At night of April 10 and in the morning of the same day, the Azerbaijani armed forces 17 times shelled the Armenian positions in the north-east direction of the state border of Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh has also voiced accusations against Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD, on April 10 and on at night of April 11, in the southern and northern directions of the contact line, the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire from 60-mm-calibre mortar launchers and AGS-17 grenade launchers.
Meanwhile, according to the Karabakh side, the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh "mostly refrained from response actions," report the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD on its website.
In turn, the Azerbaijani MoD stated that during the past day, the Armenian armed forces 117 times violated the ceasefire on the contact line.
The Azerbaijani side registered shelling both from the territory of Armenia and from the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.
