NKR accuses Azerbaijan of breaking armistice
At night on April 9, Azerbaijani troops shelled the Karabakh positions from mortars, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).
At night on April 2, the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone escalated; and on April 5, the parties declared an armistice; however, in violation thereof, exchange of accusations of violating the agreement continues.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the MoD of Azerbaijan announced that, within the last 24 hours, the Armenian Armed Forces violated the ceasefire for 120 times, by using mortars, grenade-launchers and heavy machine guns.
In its turn, the MoD of the NKR has accused the Azerbaijani party of shelling from mortars, reports the "Panorama.am". The MoD has stated that "the advance units of the Defence Army mostly refrained from response actions."
