Nagorno-Karabakh announces death of 32 servicemen

The loss of the NKR’s Defence Army in the Karabakh conflict zone made 32 servicemen, other 25 are considered missing.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on April 2, the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone sharply escalated. On April 5, the parties declared an armistice. However, the contradictory statements about the changes in the positions, occupied by the armed forces of the parties, emphasize the instability of the situation.

Today, the officially recognized losses have been announced by Colonel Victor Arustamyan, the head of the operative division of the NKR’s Defence Army. "The death toll includes eight ensigns and officers; the list of wounded ones includes 24 ensigns and officers," said a military official. According to his version, 121 militaries were wounded, the "Interfax" reports.

The source has added that the two militaries who perished in Karvachar, Shaumyan District, were the servicemen of the NKR’s Defence Army.
