Relatives of Vagif Nurbaev doubt investigators' version of his death
During the search conducted at home of preacher Vagif Nurbaev, a native of Dagestan, law enforcers found components for manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). According to a staff member of the investigating authorities, Vagif Nurbaev himself could be blown up on a similar IED. Relatives of the preacher question this version.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 4, the Salafi preacher was found dead in a blown-up car near the village of Kazachya Sloboda not far from the city of Nizhnevartovsk.
On April 5, a search was conducted at home of Vagif Nurbaev, during which law enforcers found electrical wires and other items that could be used as components of an IED, reports a source from the Investigating Department for Yugra of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
Relatives of Vagif Nurbaev have confirmed the information on the search conducted and stated that all the items found at home could be planted.
It should be noted that the version of transportation of an IED in the car does not fit the information that before his death, Vagif Nurbaev was carrying his child in his car, as reported by a source close to the preacher's family.
Advocate Svetlana Avdjaeva, who represented the interests of Vagif Nurbaev in court in 2010, noted that he left four children and a pregnant wife.
