Course of warfare shows Azerbaijani attempts to consolidate at key heights

The parties in conflict intend to take control over the key heights in the area of the village of Talysh, according to the Ministries of Defence (MoDs) of the conflicting parties.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the situation in the zone of Karabakh conflict sharply escalated at night on April 2. The parties recognize civilian casualties.

According to the MoD of Azerbaijan, today it was decided to "unilaterally suspend military operations against the opponent." "It was also decided to initiate actions to strengthen the defence of the liberated territories," said the spokesman of the MoD of Azerbaijan.

Earlier, he stated that the Armenian party had "broken the ceasefire agreement, reached on April 2 at the initiative of the Russian Federation."

In its turn, the MoD of the NKR has reported today that "heavy fighting" goes on the contact line in the south-eastern and north-eastern directions.
