Dagestani power agents blame Khushet militants for blowing up motor convoy
According to law enforcers, the bomb attack on the convoy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on the Federal Highway "Kavkaz" in Dagestan was committed by Khushet militants. The power of the blast was eight kilos of TNT (trotyl) equivalent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at 8:30 p.m. Moscow time of March 29, two police vehicles with law enforcers sent from Krasnoyarsk for mission were blown up on the section of the federal highway "Kavkaz" in the area of the "Uytash" Airport and the village of Novy Khushet. The responsibility for the bombing was taken by the "Islamic State" (IS), recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia. Dagestani MIA reported that one person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the explosion.
"According to preliminary data, the attack was committed by Khushet militants," the RIA "Novosti" reports, citing a law enforcement source from Dagestan.
According to his story, the militants had planted two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) of directed action at the highway. One IED was about five kilos of TNT equivalent; the other – about three kilos.
According to another law enforcement source, three landmines were triggered at the venue.
