Guards do not let Dagomys activists to meet Sochi Mayor
The announced gathering of citizens with the participation of Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov took place in the form of the Mayor's meeting with officials. Guards blocked the entrance to the "Turquoise living room" of the "Dagomys" health complex, where the event took place, and the citizens were not able to attend it. Only public activists included in a special list were allowed to come to the meeting with the Mayor, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late January, Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov called on city residents not to go to the rally organized by the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) on the protection of the pensioners' rights. The City Mayor proposed to solve all the problems in the rooms, not in the street.
According to Ekaterina Shurmanova, the secretary of the Board of the "Dagomys" TOC (territorial public self-administration), residents of Dagomys and members of the "Dagomys" TOC could not get to the gathering.
Only people included in the lists were allowed to attend the meeting with Anatoly Pakhomov, claims Natalia Yanovskaya, a local resident. The woman has mentioned all the issues of concern to residents of Dagomys: "widespread construction, poor environment, lack of power in the area, and construction of high-rise buildings on seafront."
