North-Ossetian SC leaves Oleg Dzampaev in custody until May 2
Today, the Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia has refused to change the pre-trial restriction measure to policeman Oleg Dzampaev, a defendant in the case of the death of detainee Vladimir Tskaev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of November 1, 2015, 39-year-old Vladimir Tskaev died after interrogation at the Iriston OVD (Interior Division). According to his relatives, Vladimir Tskaev died from torture. Four policemen, including Oleg Dzampaev, were arrested in the case. They plead not guilty. On February 29, the Leninsky District Court of Vladikavkaz extended the detention in custody of Oleg Dzampaev. The defence has filed an appeal.
"The Supreme Court has considered the arguments of the defence, dismissed them and left Oleg Dzampaev, a staff member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in custody until May 2," said an official of the SC press service.
