Married couple in Dagestan accused of links with militants
In Dagestan, the spouses Nutsalkhan Iskhakov and Madina Omarova are accused of participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF) and hiding militants in their house.
According to investigators, in 2013, the spouses joined an IAF in the territory of the Untsukul District of Dagestan under the command of Aliaskhab Kebekov, and helped IAF members by providing them with housing. Thus, investigators have established that in November 2014, the spouses' house in the village of Gerey-Avlak in Buynaksk gave secret shelter for Kebekov himself, as well as for Omar Magomedov and Shamil Gadjiev, the.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 19, 2015, the city of Buynaksk was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. In the village of Gerey-Avlak, power agents blocked a house with armed men inside; and then reported the death of five persons in the CTO, including Aliaskhab Kebekov, the leader of "Imarat Kavkaz", and organization recognized as terrorist one in Russia. Two women, who refused to leave the house, were also killed in the CTO.
