Lawyers: agents had no right to search "First Lady" Centre without warrant and witnesses
Policemen must conduct searches in the presence of at least two witnesses and present a protocol under which the check is conducted. This was stated by the lawyers, who commented the complaint of the head of the Nalchik-based health and beauty centre against the pressure by power agents.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the female leader of the centre of aesthetic medicine "First Lady" Centre in Idarov Street in Nalchik had stated policemen's misconduct during a search conducted in her centre. Power agents confiscated all the computers and medical records and would not return them more than a month, she said.
According to the head of the "First Lady" Centre, the searches were carried out on February 9 and 12. According to her story, policemen failed to present a copy of the protocol on the results of the checks of the centre.
A search must be conducted in the presence of at least two witnesses, said Marlen Lua, an employee of the law firm "Legal Initiative".
Searches may be conducted by power agents without presenting documents "only in case especially dangerous objects are stored in the premise," said an employee of the Chief Department of the Russian FSB.
