In Dagestan, Gadjimagomedov and Rashidov killed during CTO, investigators report
The men, killed on March 11 in a shootout with law enforcers during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) near the Dagestani village of Orota, have been preliminary identified as Magomed Gadjimagomedov and Sabir Rashidov. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 11, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the Khunzakh and Botlikh Districts of Dagestan. As a result of the shootout in the village of Orota of the Khunzakh District, two men were killed. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported that the killed men were involved in the murder of imam. The CTO legal regime in the Khunzakh District was lifted on March 12 at 8:30 p.m. Moscow time.
The men killed in the shootout have been "preliminary identified as Magomed Gadjimagomedov and Sabir Rashidov," reported on March 12 the press service of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan.
"According to investigators, Magomed Gadjimagomedov was wanted for the murder of Omar Anasov, a resident of the village of Gotsatl of the Khunzakh District, committed in 2014, involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF), and illicit arms trafficking," reports the message posted on the website of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan.
The ICRF reports no details concerning Sabir Rashidov.
