Chechen authorities refute preparation of new rally in support of Kadyrov
The information about the plans to hold rallies in support of Ramzan Kadyrov on March 6 has nothing to do with reality, said Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Parliament of Chechnya. Earlier, Kadyrov confirmed that there were proposals in the republic to hold rallies, but he publicly asked to abandon the idea.
The second Ramzan Kadyrov's term at the post of the Chechen leader expires on April 5. In February, he repeatedly announced that he had no desire to continue leading the republic, and the Ramzan Kadyrov's subordinates responded by calls to stay their "padishah", made on behalf of the Muslims and the Chechen people.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to Chechen residents, that the rally in support of the head of Chechnya with the participation of public employees, earlier scheduled for February 28, was postponed until March 6.
On March 3, Magomed Daudov said, in his comment on this information, that Ramzan Kadyrov needs no rallies, the "Grozny-Inform" news agency reports.
In his turn, Alvi Karimov, the press secretary of the head of the republic, said in relation to the March 6 rally that "he didn't know about anything," the "Moscow Speaking" Radio reported on March 3.
