Buynaksk blogger demands to bring deputies to responsibility for beating him
On January 9, Gadji Nurutdinov, who calls himself a "young blogger", wrote on his Facebook page that he had been beaten. Gadji Nurutdinov states that a group of people, including four deputies of the City Council, was involved in the beating. However, investigators refuse to bring them to responsibility.
The blogger believes he was attacked, since under the pseudonym of "Shirvan Aliev" he used to criticize deputies of the "Party of Veterans", which won the elections held in September 2015.
"No one ever forced me to write materials about the situation in Buynaksk. I was doing that myself, being of sound mind and memory. And I wrote the truth: the truth about the corruption of deputies, about the dishonesty of officials, and about the lawlessness, which has appeared in the city after the well-known elections and which still takes place," wrote Gadji Nurutdinov in a post about the beating.
"For more than two months, investigators have paid their attention to me only. They questioned me, did researches on a lie detector, and I was not subjected to DNA test only... The investigators transferred materials from Buynaksk to Makhachkala and then from Makhachkala to Buynaksk. And now, they sent the materials to Kaspiysk. And all this is done in order to avoid the initiation of a criminal case as long as possible," writes the young man.
