In Chegem, man stages kidnapping of his own son, MIA reports

A resident of North Ossetia has filed a complaint to the police of Kabardino-Balkaria. The man has claimed that his son was kidnapped by unidentified persons, who demanded a ransom. However, the message appeared to by false, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

According to the MIA, a 65-year-old resident of North Ossetia with earlier criminal record has filed a complaint to the police. He has claimed that on the bypass road to the town of Chegem of Kabardino-Balkaria, unidentified persons threatened with weapons and kidnapped his 27-year-old son for a ransom of 1 million roubles.

As a result of inspection, the police have determined the fact of the false report on the kidnapping. The man has confessed that he has staged the kidnapping in order to collect money from his relatives.
