Political analysts: opposition's demands strengthen Kadyrov's positions

The calls of the opposition to dismiss Ramzan Kadyrov increase the likelihood that the Kremlin will leave him in the post of the head of Chechnya, the political analysts Alexei Makarkin and Mikhail Remizov believe. The probability of Kadyrov's resignation is extremely low, said the Forbes journalist Orkhan Jemal.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Kremlin refused to clarify the fate of Kadyrov. The issue of his future stay as the head of the Chechen Republic "is premature, since his term of office has not expired yet," the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov has stated today.

In the opinion of Alexei Makarkin, Deputy Director of the "Centre for Political Technologies", the Peskov's statement suggests that the Kremlin has not yet made a decision about the fate of Kadyrov.

The expert has suggested that "his own fate seems hazy to the head of Chechnya." He also did not rule out that the demand of the oppositionist Ilya Yashin to dismiss Kadyrov "has made his resignation less likely."

He also did not exclude that in case of Kadyrov's resignation, his "formal promotion" is quite possible

In the opinion of Mikhail Remizov, president of the "Institute for National Strategy", the country's leadership has already decided Kadyrov's fate.

Kadyrov will remain the head of Chechnya, since the Kremlin has "no alternative candidates," says Orkhan Jemal, a journalist of the Forbes Magazine. According to his version, the probability of Kadyrov's resignation is extremely low.
