In Yerevan, activists create political party "Armenian Renaissance"

Arthur Bagdasaryan, former Speaker of Parliament and Secretary of Security Council under President of Armenia, has been elected the chairman of the association. The "Armenian Renaissance" includes 12 parties and 138 public organizations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 2, Eghine Bisharyan, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the "Orinats Yerkir" Party, stated that the "Armenian Renaissance" was created on the eve of the parliamentary elections to be held in 2017.

"The formation of the party has been motivated by the desire to combine all efforts to promote the revival of Armenia, implement reforms, and achieve significant changes in the fight against poverty and other problems," emphasized Mher Shakhgeldyan, Secretary of the faction of the "Orinats Yerkir" Party as quoted by the "Sputnik-Armenia".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 11, it was reported on the agreement between the Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) "Dashnaktsutyun". Under the above agreement, the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Education are to be replaced by members of the "Dashnaktsutyun" Party. According to a source from the ruling circles of Armenia, Karen Chshmarityan, Minister of Economy from the Republican Party of Armenia, will resign from his post, and he will be replaced by Artsvik Minasyan, an MP from the "Dashnaktsutyun" Party. Levon Mkrtchyan, another member of the "Dashnaktsutyun" Party, claims for the post of the Minister of Education.
