Dagestani authorities provide help to families of casualties and victims of Djemikent explosion

The families of casualties and victims of the explosion at the Djemikent traffic police checkpoint in the Derbent District of Dagestan will receive financial aid from the government, depending on the gravity of injuries, the press service of the republic's government has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that the explosion at the GIBDD (traffic police) post near the village of Djemikent occurred in the morning on February 15. Dagestani authorities reported the death of two police officers, and 18 other people were wounded. In the evening on February 15, a woman, wounded by the explosion, died at hospital.

The order on allocation of financial help to victims' families was signed by Abdusamad Gamidov, the head of the Dagestani government.

The order posted on February 16 on the website of the government says that those severely wounded will receive 250,000 thousand roubles each; those moderately wounded – 150,000 roubles each; and those slightly wounded – 100,000 roubles each.
