Ingushetia: judge obliges doctors to appear at trial on Doskhoevs’ lawsui

The court that considers the lawsuit of the Doskhoev family, whose new-born baby died in the Malgobek hospital, has demanded to present documents to confirm that doctors had been brought to disciplinary responsibility, as well as to ensure the appearance of doctors and the investigator.

According to Ruslan Doskhoev, in 2007, doctors made a mistake in taking delivery from his wife, as well as admitted the death of her new-born baby. During a surgery, his wife was inflicted an intestine injury; and doctors also removed her female genital organ.

At the end of 2015, the Doskhoevs lodged a lawsuit against the hospital demanding compensation for the damage caused to Makka Doskhoeva’s health. On February 10, the Malgobek City Court held the first session on the lawsuit, said Magomed Mutsolgov, an Ingush human rights activist and the head of the human rights organization "Mashr", in his blog that he runs on the "Caucasian Knot".

According to his story, the case of causing bodily harm to Doskhoeva was opened only four years after the incident, but for five years investigators are unable to establish those responsible.

The next court session is scheduled for February 25.

Earlier, Boris Evloev, another resident of Ingushetia, stated that because of wrongful actions of Malgobek doctors, in 2010 his daughter Khava Tangieva lost her baby at delivery, and now is unable to have children.
