68 residents of Derbent included in lists of flood victims
In Derbent, bailiffs have obliged the city authorities to include additional 68 persons in the waiting list for housing certificates. These people lost their houses as a result of the flood of 2012, and they are eligible for financial assistance.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in October 2012, heavy rainfalls caused the flood in Derbent, and as a result, six persons were killed and about 600 houses were flooded.
The city administration has paid compensation for lost property to people affected by the flood: 10,000 roubles per person, but not more than 25,000 roubles per family. The families deprived of their houses were eligible for certificates for new housing. City residents complained that the compensation does not cover the losses incurred by them.
The Derbent City Court issued to the Bailiff Service the enforcement orders to include 68 persons in the register of people affected by the disaster, applying for financial assistance.
At the request of the Court, the authorities have been obliged to send to the Dagestani Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) the materials, according to which 500,000 roubles will be allocated for the distribution of financial assistance to people who lost their property as a result of the flood.
"68 persons have been included in the appropriate register," reported the website of the Bailiffs Service for Dagestan on February 10.
