SC of North Ossetia orders to demolish structures at Dzivgis Fortress (+video)
The Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia has dismissed an appeal complaint against the decision of the Alagir District Court on demolition of the fence and house built near the Dzivgis Fortress. The complaint was filed by the family, which had erected the structures.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 24, 2012, the leaders of the Society "Lost Ossetia" wrote an appeal to the republic's authorities asking to clear out the situation in the village of Dzivgis, Alagir District of North Ossetia, where a local resident had built a fence near the cultural monument of federal value.
After the family refused to fulfil the presentation on demolition of the structures and bringing the land plot to its original state, the Ministry of Culture of North Ossetia appealed to the court, said the lawyer Tatiana Shramko, who represented the interests of the Ministry at the Alagir District Court. The court satisfied the demand of the Ministry of Culture to demolish the unauthorized structures. The family appealed against the court judgement.
