Peskov urges not to associate attack on Kasyanov with Kadyrov

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, has treated the attack on Mikhail Kasyanov, the Chairman of the PARNAS Party, committed in downtown Moscow, as molestation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on February 9, Mikhail Kasyanov, the party leader and former Russian Prime Minister, was attacked in a Moscow restaurant. According to Kasyanov, ten people threw a cake at him and shouted out threats. The attackers spoke the Chechen language, Kasyanov's supporters have added.

On February 1, the page of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the Instagram posted a video, in which a filter imitating a rifle sight was imposed over Kasyanov's image. In this context, Kasyanov stated a direct threat of murder to him as a statesman, and filed complaints against Kadyrov to the ICRF and FSB.

"In general, we can state that an attack on any person, not only the guarded one, should be inadmissible," the "Interfax" quotes Peskov as saying, who asked to address further questions about the incident to the Federal Guarding Service (known as the FSO).

In its turn, under the text of the edition "Caucasian Policy", a comment appeared in the Instagram on the attack on Kasyanov, borrowed from Ramzan Kadyrov's account (@ kadyrov_95) and reading: "))))me again))))!!?" wrote the user.

The Moscow police have launched an inquiry into the incident within the administrative legislation. The oppositionist himself treats the attack as the result of the threats he had received from the head of Chechnya.
