Nalchik: Inna Blenaova's case sent to court

Inna Blenaova, a resident of Nalchik, is accused of aiding Robert Zankishiev, the leader of the local branch of the "Islamic State" (IS), who was killed in a special operation on November 10, 2015. Her case was sent to the court for trial, said the Investigating Department for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

On November 10, 2015, in Nalchik, power agents blocked a multi-storey apartment building No. 59 in Second Taman Division Street, where, according to their data, the above Robert Zankishiev, the leader of the local branch of the "Islamic State" (IS, earlier – the ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia), and his Muslim wife were hiding. Zankishiev was shot dead during the storm, and Blenaova was wounded and hospitalized.

According to investigators, since January 2015, Inna Blenaova helped Zankishiev by hiding him in her flat, supplied him with foodstuffs, let him to keep firearms, ammunition and explosive devices in her apartment.

Investigators report that they found photos, in which Blenaova and her children were depicted against the background of firearms and ammunition.

It should be noted here that at a press conference on November 19, 2015, in Nalchik, the woman said that she had not taken part in any militants' actions and had not supported them. According to Blenaova, she stopped living with Robert Zankishiev, as soon as she learned that he was searched by law enforcers.
