Advocates report on completion of investigation into Boris Nemtsov's murder
Today, Musa Khadisov, an advocate of Anzor Gubashev, has reported that after the defendants and their defenders examine the materials of the case, it will be sent to the Prosecutor's Office. The information on the completion of the investigation has also been confirmed by Vadim Prokhorov, an advocate of the victim party.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that family members of Boris Nemtsov insist on the reclassification of the case from Article 105 (murder) to more serious Article 277 (attempt on life of a state or public figure) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The victim party argued that political motives were unreasonably denied. Meanwhile, on December 25, 2015, the Basmanny Court of Moscow supported the position of the investigators.
According to advocate Musa Khadisov, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) plans to issue a formal notification on the completion of the investigation on January 29.
In his turn, Vadim Prokhorov has noted that "in the near future, the investigators will invite the victims to examine the case materials."
Earlier, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation, has reported that the murder of Boris Nemtsov was solved in 2015.
