During 2015, CTOs in Nalchik almost tripled against 2014
The special operation in Nalchik, during which three persons were killed and another one was wounded, became the twelfth case of the introduction of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria since the beginning of 2014 and the ninth since the beginning of 2015. These are the results of the calculation made by the "Caucasian Knot".
Today, a private house, blocked by law enforcers in Tsiolkovsky Street on January 15, has been almost completely destroyed as a result of the armed clashes. The active phase of the special operation has been completed; however, till present, no information concerning the removal of the CTO legal regime has been reported.
In 2015, according to the calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot", in Nalchik, the CTO legal regime was introduced at least eight times: once in January, April, June, July, and August and three times in November. In 2014, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria at least three times: once in January, March, and December.
Thus, in 2015, the number of cases of the introduction of the CTO legal regime in the territory of Nalchik increased by 2.7 times, which is almost three times, as compared with the previous year.
