Native of Northern Caucasus suspected of involvement in explosion in Moscow
The Moscow police search for Makhmud Akhmedov suspected of disorderly conduct with the use of an explosive device, resulting in injuries for five persons.
The law enforcement bodies have reported on the identification of the person suspected of committing an explosion near a public transport station in the centre of Moscow.
"Makhmud Akhmedov, born in 1983, a native of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), is wanted on suspicion of committing a crime," the "Interfax" quotes a press officer of the Chief Department for Moscow of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) as reporting.
The explosion occurred in Pokrovka Street on December 7. As a result, five persons were injured. The police have instituted the criminal case under Article "Disorderly conduct", the "TASS" reports. Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (disorderly conduct) stipulates up to five years of imprisonment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 10, 2015, it became known on the elimination in Moscow of an illegal workshop for manufacturing weapons and the detention of its suspected owner, a student of a Moscow university. The criminal case has been instituted against him under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal trafficking in arms and ammunition).
