Authorities promise to allocate 50 million roubles to victims of explosion in Volgograd

In total, 50 million roubles from the contingency fund of the Volgograd Region are planned to be allocated for the compensation to the people affected by the explosion at a residential building in Volgograd. Each family of the victims will be granted one million roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20 an explosion occurred in a residential building in Volgograd, which destroyed a flight of the building from the second up to the ninth levels. It was reported about 12 wounded and five dead tenants; however, only two deaths have been officially confirmed so far.

The head of the Dzerzhinsky District of Volgograd has reported that the explosion destroyed 36 apartments in a residential building in Cosmonauts Street. According to him, about 100 people were deprived of housing.

Each family of the persons killed in the explosion at the residential building in Volgograd will receive one million roubles. This was reported by the website of the Volgograd regional administration on December 21.

According to the same report, the people wounded in the explosion will be granted 200,000-400,000 roubles, depending on the severity of their injuries.

Each citizen who lost his or her essential property as a result of the explosion will be granted 100,000 roubles in the case of total loss of the essential property, and 50,000 roubles in the case of a partial loss. Each person affected by the explosion will be granted 10,000 roubles as a lump sum.

In total, it is planned that 50 million roubles will be allocated from the contingency fund of the Volgograd Region for the compensation to the people affected by the explosion at a residential building.

Let us remind you that investigators are considering two versions of the explosion – wrong handling of gas equipment during repair works, and an incident of domestic nature with natural gas. At the same time, according to neighbours, tenants of No. 64, where the explosion occurred, brought home and stored ammunition and cylinders with gas and gasoline.
