Chechen authorities report on violations in activities of eight NPOs

Non-profit organizations (NPOs), which commit violations in their activities, face liquidation. This was reported by an official of the Chechen Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in early November, the Chechen Department of the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) launched massive inspections of NPOs.

An official of the MoJ reports on the discovery of violations in the activities of eight NPOs.

NPO members note that the authorities pay great attention to the issues of financing. According to members of regional NPOs, the authorities check with special bias the NPOs, which receive foreign funding.

"There is an impression that the authorities are looking for an excuse to close NPOs disloyal to the power; however, in Chechnya, you can hardly find such disloyal NPOs," believes Kheda, a staff member of a local NPO.
