Case about involvement of Dagestani resident in militants' activities sent to court

The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has sent the case of the local resident Yusup Magomedov, accused of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF) to the Khunzakh District Court.

According to investigators, in September 2014, the man joined the grouping of militants operating in the territory of the Khunzakh District. His duty was to provide IAF members with foodstuffs.

The indictment on the case is sent to the court for consideration on the merits, says the website of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 3, a court sentenced a woman-resident of the Tsuntin District to 5 years in prison on a similar charge. In November, the Tlyaratin District Court sentenced a local resident to 5 years and 2 months in a general-security colony on charges of aiding militants.
