MIA confirms death of three people in shootout in Kizilyurt District
Yesterday, in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, power agents entered two shootouts, during which three people were killed. One of the shootouts occurred in Kizilyurt, the second one in the village of Komsomolskoe, said the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that three men were killed in Kizilyurt outskirts on December 16. They were identified as Nukhudin Zubairov, Shamil Gadjiev and Magomed Khairullaev. According to a law enforcement source, all of them, presumably, were local militants' helpers. According to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), Zubairov and Gadjiev opened fire on power agents after the latter tried to stop the attackers' VAZ-21099 car; they were killed by return fire.
The incident occurred in the course of operative-search activities in Kizilyurt.
The second incident occurred in the village of Komsomolskoe. Kizilyurt District. There, policemen also tried to stop a VAZ-21720 car, but fire was opened from inside the car. By return fire the shooter was killed, said the press service of the MIA of Dagestan.
Nobody of policemen suffered in the shootouts.
